Our Black Friday

This Black Friday Ashley had to work and I had to recover from playing some Thanksgiving football but for after hours we took a trip out to Sunset beach to catch the last hour of the surf compitition, the waves were big the weather was cooperating so natually we took some pictures and I think the pictures explain it all.

the Baby is starting to show

Ashley is finally starting to look like an expecting mom, despite her bulemic tendencies and late nights hugging the toilet she is showing a little baby belly and we're exited. Our baby, whose name is currently Jane but subject to change, is very active and always kicking at night time and early in the morning (you know the time Ashley is trying to get some beauty rest) if you can see from the ulra sound she has long legs and I have finally felt the little foreign body.

We tried to make a puppy but we ended up with a girl instead

Last week we got our ultrasound and the baby wasn't cooperating. Ashley drank pop and the baby was being fairly active but her legs were crossed the whole time no matter how much she moved around. I guess she's a little camera shy and who could blame her, if some stranger was trying to look at your goodies you would be too. However we got a bonus photo shoot because our OB saw signs of placenta previa and referred us to a specialist for a precaution. This was good because the not only did the specialist think the placenta was OK we got a 4D ultrasound which was awesome but at the same time the pictures make our little fetus look like a goblin. Our baby had a little fluid in her left kidney which could be indicative of some kind of problem so they're going to keep an eye on it when Ashley goes back in 4 weeks and we'll get another one. WOOT WOOT! We're so lucky we have friends way further along in their pregnancies with only one or two ultrasounds and we've already had five and more are on the way! So what Ashley's had to puke 100 times for each of them but too me its worth it although I would probably say Ashley would rather just not be barfing all the time. I am trying to deter the baby from making my poor wife throw up all the time by yelling out threats about painting her back porch red the minute she bursts forth into this world but she never listens to me. Any ideas on disciplining your unborn children? This is out baby girl waving at me I think she said "Hi Dad" but I'm not very good at reading lips. This is my baby girl getting ready to 'bust out of this mother'This is my baby girl giving herself one thumb up (and an arm, her comprehension is a little low) on her cannonball form
This is our girl doing a nice profile shot its more like one of those civil war photo poses notice the the sweet mustache isn't she so patriotic.
not to be confused with propaganda pictures of socialist dictators.

So now while we're waiting for our baby to cook and get a little cuter we have to find a good name. My criteria is I have to be able to use it when I'm happy and mad and it has to be fitting longer than toddler hood (which exclude 90% of Ashley's names)

Boy of Girl? That is the question

Tomorrow we're going to the OB and getting the ultrasound which tells us if our baby is going to be playing baseball of softball. The anticipation is such I'm peeing my pants at the anticipation, much like an exited young child opening up Christmas presents. IT'S THAT GOOD!!

So while your doing you civic duty today and voting make sure you vote for what we'll have and I'll tell Ashley to have whatever you guys come up with. (Just know that you'll need at least 2/3 majority because I will exercise my power and veto your decision if I don't like the results)
