Penguins!!

On Sunday Night we got to stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village with Mom and Dad Frandsen... In the morning they feed the Penguins, so we got up and out the door at 8am to watch the feeding frenzy... we also got to learn a lot about the Penguins and PET one!!!! yes, you read the correctly!!! I GOT TO PET A PENGUIN!!! well, we all did!! including Janey!! Now she wants a pet penguin.... It was a highlight for me!!! and for those that are wondering, the penguins feathers/skin... whatever it was, was very soft!!! I was surprised!

 

 

 

 

Father/ Son Parasailing

Brandon already Posted us parasailing, but Brandon also went with Brad on the "extreme parasailing" strip, they line went out twice as far as it did when I went out, in fact they went first and as I watched how far they went out I thought I was going to die when it was my turn... they went very very high!! It was a fun experience... and a Beautiful view of Honolulu.

 

 

 

 

The Eddie!!

So we woke up on Tuesday morning and looked online and saw that they were having the Eddie Aikau Surf competition, So Mom and Dad Frandsen were great sports and got ready in a hurry and we all (minus Brandon, can't believe they did not cancel class for the event) hopped on the bus to get to Waimea Bay, we had a pretty easy time getting there, but I heard others that left later got stuck in terrible traffic... It was awesome to see the big waves, Brad took these gret pictures of the surfers and the crowd.... We have been here for almost four years and we had never made it out there for the event, so glad we did this year, it was crowded but very cool!!

 

 

 

 

Waimea Valley

On the day we trekked out to watch the Eddie, we also decided since we were in the area to do the Waimea Valley hike... It was beautiful and Brad took a lot of great pictures... but I thought these ones with the Grandparents NEEDED to be posted!!! I will post the nature ones later... At the end of the walk is a waterfall, it was nice and shaded with lots of of plant life to see along the way... Jane was sittin' pretty on Grandpa's shoulders the whole day!

 

 

 

 

Turtle Bay with Grandma and Grandpa Frandsen!

Grandma and Grandpa got to see our little fish in action! She loves the beach more than anything!! She would stay there all day if she could!! Here are a few pics from our beach trip! Janey loved playing with Grandpa on the boggie board!!

 

 

 

 

PCC/ Night Show

When Mom and Dad Frandsen came to visit, Grandpa Frandsen stayed up past his regular 8pm bedtime and we saw the Night show at the Polynesian Culteral Center... they have a new night show now called "HA" which means breath of life.... I said it once and I will say it again...kinda reminds me of the lion king, in a good way of course.... We saw it when Ryan came to visit when it first came out... It is super good, I highly recommend it!!

P.S. The Christmas decorations were awesome there, they really go all out...

10 Months!!

These pictures are a little older, but too cute not to post!!!

Janey changes so much everyday, she has started doing so much this last month here are a few of Janes new tricks and fun Janey facts:

* Crawling, she started crawling on her hands and feet, but now has finally found her knees..
* Pulling herself up on EVERYTHING, but she loves to pull her self up on walls and the TV...
* Thinks she is Hawaiian, she only cries when white people hold her...
* loves food, hates all baby moosh now.... only took one visit from Grandpa Frandsen...
* Loves the water, but doesn't really love the bath right now... explain that one to me...
* Loves her friends... likes to grab their faces and follow them around..
* Loves books...
* Still hasn't figured out how to use a sippy cup...
* Loves to go shopping of any sorts with mom...
* says dad ba,and Ash... ( I told her she could call me that)
* Is a fruitatarian for the most part... we are working on that....
* Loves to ride on her Daddy's shoulders...
* Loves her jumperoo... she goies crazy in that thing..
* Claps when anyone else claps..
* waves "bye-Bye" but not on command mind you....
* HATES her carseat... we are going to upgrade to a bigger one, her baby carrier is getting too small.... any brand advice on that one would be useful!
* Officially pulls everything off her head!!

Finals Done & Christmas Begun!!!

Parasailing

As part of family fun my dad decided to take us all (sxcluding my mom and Jane) parasailing. We went at the end of the day abd because nobody was scheduled to go after us the drivers were feeling either really genrous or perhaps too lazy to change the attatchement so I was able to ride tandem with my dad and Ashley.. FOR FREEEEE!!

Ashley has said she had always wanted to go parasailing but once we started making plans to actually go she got scared and had it not been for added pressure of my dad she probably wouldn't have gone at all. The closer the time got the more terrified Ashley became up untill we started flying off the stern of the boat.

Once at cruising altitude Ashley realized it wasn't so scary after all and aside from the occaisional gust of wind or the sounds of the harness rubbing on the bar holding us in she really liked it.

This place even dunked us, something that in times past the parasail nazis never allowed.

When we came down Ashley still loved me and we all lived happily ever after. THE END

Grandparents

This past week my parents were in town and since Janey was only 5 months old when we left Washington this summer, they were strangers to her once again.

She was very clingy to her mom and dad at first

Trying desperately to escape whenever her grandpa tried to play with her

But by the end they all became best friends and now she misses them.
