Baby's day at the beach

This past Saturday we went out to pipeline to check out the huge blown out waves and get some sun, and Jane loved every minute of it. It was hard to get a photo that captured the 25+ ft waves since nobdody dared go out there. I tried to get Ashley to get close but as you can see above she turned into a coward and ran at the first sign of being splashed.

Christmas Eve!!

Every year the Van Aken's have a Christmas Eve party where we play a huge gift exchange game!! This year was Brandon's first year with all the excitment, he did pretty well but ended up with a pretty lame shower mirror... This year I picked the last number and had my choice of all the gifts, naturally I went with the Monkey slippers!! It was alot of fun and so great to see everyone!!

Brad had number one and opened this fabulous gift.
Dad and baby Vinnie!!!
Alicia, Alyssa, Mom and Nate...
This is when mom makes everyone hold their gifts up...
But really I just like Jenny's face in this picture.

The Boys I haven't seen in a while/met for the first time

The last time we made it back to Washington was our Wedding a year and a half ago, Tiffani was prego with Porter who is One and my Brother Ryan was serving his mission in Ecuador (and that's my cousin Jesse's dog who I had just met too)
Porter was so mellow the whole time we were there that kid is pretty easy going and low maintenance
Landon was a baby when I saw him last he's now quite the talker. This is a picture of him winding up for his exited face, the boy loved opening Christmas presents he was shaking he was so exited.
Payton talks more too and he loved being the center of attention, but who doesn't? This is the first time I've seen him without his backpack which he had since he was born practically. Its good to see that he's able to go into the hot tub now and I'm sure his mom loves not having to worry about his pump breaking or malfunctioning.

Winter Wonderland

If you read below you will meet our Snow Woman who fell over a couple days after we built her some people say she was too top heavy others say it was Karma but I think my my mom did it!
Since the roads were too icy chirch was cancelled Sunday we had our own priesthood lesson in the hot tub and I don't know who dared first but the ending result were a few snow angels accompanied by scraped up cold wet bodies
It just kept snowing and luckily I'm out of there because it's still going
Seattle usually doesn't get more than 5 inches of snow a year and it sticks around at most 2 days whenever it does snow untill this year, the first time in 3 years Ashley and I come home for Christmas and boy oh boy was it cold. Since we were trapped inside for a few days I got accustomed to this view out my front door.

Naughty Snow Woman

Ryan being the recent RM and teacher at the MTC left me the only one able and capable of performing the sex change operation on our snow man
She maybe cold but she gave great hugs, "everybody needs a bosom for a pillow"
