Aloha oe

Only one week to go and we're already missing Hawaii. This is the only place we have called home since getting married and Jane practically thinks of herself as Hawaiian. She refers to her parents as Haoles and has a strange phobia of the 'white man' and at church she'll go up to any polynesian like they are her real family. She loves the beach and has developed into qhuite the boogie boarder/body surfer. The girl is fearless when it comes to the water and its always a struggle getting her out. We are really going to miss this place and we will work hard to endoctrinate Jane into attended BYU-Hawaii so we'll have good excuses to come back in 18 years.

I've been thinking about you guys all last week especially this past Sunday and remembering your ward's tradition of having everyone who is moving go up to the front of the chapel after Sacrament meeting and present leis to them and sing that so sad song Aloha oe! Man I get all teary eyed thinking about it! So sad to be moving from such a memorable place= but so excited to have you back on the mainland and to hear of your next adventures!!!

If Jane wants a little piece of Hawaii, she can have Sam. He's a quater hawaiian! :)

Sorry that you guys have to leave such an amazing place, but I am excited to have you so close!

You'll definitely have to drill it into Jane that she has to go to BYU Hawaii (that's what I had to do with my kids, and it worked---two out of three!) Oh, it's so hard to leave there!! But we're looking forward to you being home this summer, Keith's planning on you being his boat boy this year.
